Customer terms
Terms and Conditions
Understand the terms that govern purchases, sales, and consignments with Jade Memorabilia Ltd. The wording is designed for clear decisions before you place an order or send us an item.
A clear agreement
These UK collectibles shop terms apply when you browse our website, create an account, buy an item, submit an item for sale, or agree a consignment. By using the site, you confirm that you have read and accepted them. Consumer rights under UK law still apply.
1. Using this website
Jade Memorabilia Ltd operates this website from 38 Lumber Lane, Earlestown, St. Helens, WA5 4AR, United Kingdom. You must provide accurate information and use the website lawfully.
We may update these e-commerce terms and conditions when our services or legal duties change. The version shown at checkout applies to that order. We may restrict access where misuse, fraud, or a security risk is suspected.
2. Product descriptions and condition grading
Collectibles are described using photographs, measurements, edition details, provenance information where available, and a condition grade. Vintage items show age-related wear unless the listing says otherwise. Small differences between a screen image and the actual item do not change its essential characteristics.
Read the full listing before ordering. If a detail is unclear, contact us through our contact page before you buy. A grading term is an informed description, not a guarantee of future value.
3. Prices, stock, and orders
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are displayed before payment. A displayed price may be corrected if there is an obvious listing or typographical error.
An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation. An automated acknowledgement only confirms that we received your request. Items can sell before stock systems update, so we may cancel an order and refund the payment if the listed item is unavailable.
4. Secure payment processing
Payment is taken through the payment provider shown at checkout. We do not ask you to send full card details by email or message. Your payment provider may apply its own terms and checks.
We may contact you to verify an order where the billing, delivery, or account information needs review. An order cannot be dispatched until payment has cleared.
5. Delivery, risk, and collection
We send orders to the address supplied at checkout using the service stated in the delivery information. We will contact you if an unusual delay affects your order. Risk passes to you when you, or a person you nominate, takes physical possession of the goods.
For full delivery timeframes, packaging details, and collection arrangements, see delivery information. Tell us promptly if a parcel arrives damaged and keep the packaging for inspection.
6. Returns and cancellations
UK consumers usually have a 14-day cancellation period for online purchases, starting the day after delivery. You must tell us within that period, then return the item within 14 days of telling us. The item should be handled only as needed to check its nature, condition, and operation.
Some exclusions can apply, including personalised items and goods sealed for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Our returns policy explains the process, return address, refund timing, and exceptions. This does not affect rights for goods that are faulty, misdescribed, or not of satisfactory quality.
7. Authenticity statements
We describe authenticity based on our examination, available records, and information supplied by the seller. Where a listing includes a certificate or provenance document, it will be identified in the description. We do not claim that every item has been independently certified unless the listing says so.
If you have a genuine concern about an item, contact us promptly with your order details and supporting information. We will review the evidence and respond fairly.
8. Seller submissions and consignment
When you submit an item for purchase or consignment, you confirm that you own it or have authority to sell it. You must disclose known faults, alterations, repairs, reproductions, and disputes over ownership. We may decline an item without giving a reason where its history, condition, or legal status cannot be established.
Consignment arrangements are agreed separately in writing. That agreement sets the reserve, commission, insurance position, storage period, marketing permission, payment timing, and what happens if the item does not sell. Do not send valuable items until we have confirmed the arrangement and delivery instructions.
9. Accounts and your responsibilities
Keep your password private and tell us quickly if you suspect unauthorised account access. You are responsible for checking addresses, contact details, and order information before submission.
Do not upload content that infringes another person's rights, contains malicious code, or misrepresents an item. We may suspend an account while we investigate a serious breach.
10. Liability and governing law
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. We are not responsible for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts in the United Kingdom may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
11. Privacy and cookies
Our privacy policy explains how we use customer and seller information. Our cookie policy explains the small files used to operate the website, remember preferences, and understand site use.
We keep information only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal records, dispute handling, and fraud prevention.
